Curd Rice Recipes | | Resturant in Delhi
One of the most popular south Indian dishes, curd rice finds it way on most days in most homes in the states of Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu and is specially famous with Brahmin families. Whether there is a potluck party, birthday dinner or a big ritual, curd rice is pretty much always served. It’s also easy to find curd rice in most buffets in south India. It makes a complete meal by itself or can be had with any south Indian vegetarian or meat curry or with some nice and hot south Indian pickle made from lemon or raw mango or chutney. My south Indian friends also call it one of the most light and comfortable dishes of all times as the cooking time is really less. It is a great dish to be given to kids as a school lunch meal or taken to the office as a side dish.
The dish is also often served and eaten at the end of lunch or dinner as it is said to aid in digestion and neutralize the effects hot Indian spices used in other food items. Use this easy to follow recipe to create a wonderful curd rice and enjoy it as you please.
